Assisted Dying Bill Support Surges

The Return of the Assisted Dying Bill to Parliament A new poll conducted by Ipsos for the Press Association reveals that six in ten people support the reintroduction of the assisted dying bill to parliament.

This is not surprising, given the ongoing public interest in the issue. However, the Government's neutral stance on the matter stands in stark contrast to the vocal opposition from some quarters.

The polling data shows that 61% of respondents aged 16 75 support the reintroduction of the bill, with older people being more likely to back it. In fact, 67% of those aged 55 75 supported the bill.
