Scientists Discover Real Life “Dragon” in Western Thailand The discovery of a new species of lizard in western Thailand has sparked excitement among scientists and conservationists.
The Acanthosaura syrax, named after the dragon from House of the Dragon, is a striking yellowish green mountain horned lizard with unique characteristics.
Researchers led by Poramad Trivalairat from Chulabhorn Royal Academy and Kasetsart University made the discovery in an evergreen forest within Mae Wong National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
